On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Friedl Kubelka School for Artistic Photography, a new publication is now available providing insight into the structure of this influential private school for photography. The authors make a declaration of what continues to appeal to them about photography, why it still inspires them, and what developments it has gone through in recent years.
As part of the exhibition „Stille Räume“, a cross-media show presenting works by graduate students of the class 2019/2020, the publication „Die ersten 30 Jahre – Photographie“ is presented to the public. In conversation with contributors, Anja Manfredi (editor and principal) revisits the last thirty years of the school, reflects upon the developments of photography as an artistic medium, and celebrates the launch of the extensive publication.
