Even when the lights go out

In the course of a studio visit, the artist Veronika Burger presents her video installation EVEN WHEN THE LIGHTS GO OUT, THERE IS STILL LIGHT, which is the subject of the biography of the Viennese lamp designer, Elisabeth Kemeter. Kemeter, who learned her craft from her aunt and later gave her knowledge to her daughter, made umbrellas for Viennese interior decorators for 30 years and created lampshades for the 1987 James Bond movie "The Living Daylights". Katharina Brandl (Business Riot) is discussing with Veronika Burger, Elisabeth Kemeter and Anita Hold, who reconstructed the lampshades according to Kemeter's remembrance, about a generation-spanning line of women who are now denied publicity.
