Claudia Bosse / theatercombinat zeigt haunted landscape/s vom 8. bis 12. Mai in der Seestadt Aspern

Claudia Bosse and her theatercombinat are among the most important voices in the Austrian independent dance, theater, and performance scene. Now, Bosse turns her attention to wounded landscapes with haunted landscape/s, a multi-part performance series. The starting point for this exploration is the vacant land surrounding and within the Seestadt Studios in the Vienna Seestadt Aspern from May 8th to 12th. In mid-June, haunted landscape/s will continue in the forest near Lake Wörthersee in Carinthia, and it will have its provisional conclusion at the end of October on the stage of the Tanzquartier Wien. Further locations will follow.

The Seestadt Aspern was once the site of the Napoleonic Battle, later a flying field, and in the 2010s, one of Europe's largest urban development projects. It's a place where the imagination of a future urban life meets a construction site.

In the midst of cranes and the planned utopia of this city, a highly diverse group of nearly 30 performers comes together: three dancers, two choirs, Claudia Bosse herself, and the Indonesian artist Irwan Ahmett, all set to live sounds by Günther Auer, where various landscapes encounter performative experiences.

This production by theatercombinat is funded as part of a conceptual grant from 2022-2025 by the City of Vienna's Cultural Department, the Federal Ministry for Arts and Culture, Public Service, and Sport, and the Donaustadt District. It is done in cooperation with aspern3420, jugend am werk, and the public performance school PPS of theatercombinat.
