Stefanie Koscher is a Carinthian born transmedial artist, director and performer currently living in Vienna. Assisted in theaters such as The Public NYC, Staatsoper unter den Linden Berlin, Burgtheater Vienna, Bushwick Starr Brooklyn, working for Andrea Breth, the Nature Theater of Oklahoma, the Elevator Repair Service NYC amongst others. Whilst living in NYC she performed and exhibited at PS122, Museo el Barrio NYC, Bushwick Open Studios Open Space Brooklyn, Envoy Art Space and others in addition to developing a virtual performative persona called Steffko - Die Kunst #1 (short: #SDK1), who is protagonist of most of her digital and live performance work.

Stefanie Koscher's performances predominantly concentrate on the feminine self in a post-virtual context.

"Home is where the Heart is - Mirror ExercisePt. 1" is the first part of a two piece performance series that uses the psychologigal term "dissociation" as an impuls to explore the effect of trauma on the mind and body. The experimental perfomances aim to elaborate effects both on a virtual and non-virtual basis.
