Magnus Pöhacker, Anna Khodorkovskaya
Anna Khodorkovskaya Untitled (fragment)
Magnus Pöhacker's exhibition STANDPUNKTE shows us the narrative elements in sculpture. We find heads, torsos, and bodies, lying, sitting and standing, oppressed, one-legged and proud, pushed down and upright; We find round and angular shapes, smooth and cracked, shapes of concrete or metal.
We all try to get rid of the annoying garbage of everyday life: advertising, cheap magazines, used packaging and old, worthless things. These are produced by society itself but are also perceived as physical and visual garbage. They scream to be thrown away and forgotten. Anna Khodorkovskaya finds inspiration in this everyday trash. She examines these "fragments" asking herself following question: do they have a different statement apart from their obvious meaning?
