JISUN KIM Deep Present

Can we completely rethink the way the world works? This question has formed the basis of all of Jisun Kim’s work to date. For Deep Present, the Korean artist has found an answer in the strategy of outsourcing, the driving force of our capitalist society. Efficiency is the new ethics; risks are transferred; costs are reduced. Thus wars are fought via joystick or deputies. Only one final step remains: outsourcing the central human ability to think.
In Deep Present, four Artificial Intelligences communicate with one another onstage. The audience witnesses the conversations between the human, who will outsource its thinking, and the machines, who will perform this task for it. The insights, questions and dreams that emerge from this encounter collide, flicker for an instant and disappear again.
Who will change how our world works and answer the fundamental, urgent questions: Where do we come from? Who are we? Where are we going?
