Based on numerous design drawings, ornamental prints, illustrated books, posters and magazines, this exhibition proves that haute couture is not an invention of the 20th century. On the contrary, "high-end" and precious accessories have been around for centuries. In focus is Parisian haute couture and the mutual inspiration between artists, showcasing an interesting tendency towards producing works that exist between utility and fashion utopia.
