As part of a "Carte Blanche", Anna Witt will present a film program of selected artists in the Blickle Cinema dedicated to the topic of work. Afterwards there will be a conversation with the artist.

The videos shown are about work and expression, be it artistic, physical or political, questioning existing ideological systems and values. In Mykola Ridnyi's video "Monuments" workers are deconstructing a monument of a past political system. Alicja Rogalska's "Tear Dealer" and "My friend's Job" deal with precarious working conditions, and Ulf Aminde's "Performing Labor Contracts (to love is give)" shows Taiwanese opera artists performing in their own performance Thematise attitude to freelance work. Pilvi Takala's "The Trainee" is the documentation of an "undercover performance" by the artist as an idle intern in a large company, while in "Players" she tells the story of a community of professional poker players in Bangkok. Nina Könneman cinematically observes the social norm of smoking in the London Business District and Adelita Husni-Bey examines the American meritocracy together with injured young athletes in "After the finish line".
