Uncensored: We Are Sick of It

The film program and discussion follows the statement WE ARE SICK OF IT, that Hundreds of Migrant/Black/Indigenous/Lesbian/Queer/Trans* Artists of Color have signed to make a collective stand against structural discrimination in white art and cultural institutions.

6 pm Talk & Discussion
A group of artists, filmmakers, activists, collectives and curators exchange their ideas and strategies of empowerment, resistance and building alliances dealing with structural racism and white supremacy, ignorance and privilege in the fields of Arts, Film and Culture. Reflecting their own experiences, as well as former and ongoing fights and solidarities.

Guests: Pia Chakraverti-Wuerthwein & Laura Klöckner (SAVVY Contemporary Berlin – The laboratory of forming ideas), Henrie Dennis (Co-founder of Afro Rainbow Austria, WIENWOCHE 2019), Maxime Jean-Baptiste (filmmaker, Brussels/Paris), MAI LING (Yela An, Miae Son und Hui Ye, artist collective Vienna), Marissa Lôbo (activist, artist, curator for decolonial healings, Brazil/Vienna)

After the talk and discussion, there’s a get-together with culinary delights by O’Terra (free donations!) in a more relaxed atmosphere for further exchange and networking.
