Mash / Naked 7 Sam's Bar Concert

The Iranian guitarist Mahan Mirarab and the Hungarian percussionist András Dés began regularly jamming together in 2019, after András moved to Vienna. This led to rhythmically and structurally fresh compositions, pointing them in an inspiring direction. This was the beginning of Mash. Viennese clarinetist Vincent Pongrácz, who joined as the third member, completed the trio and brought another perspective to the band. His playing, oscillating between jazz and contemporary music, harmoniously contributed to the microtonal compositions of the band, going far beyond common musical intersections.

Mash is the meeting point of three exploratory musicians with distinctive, characterful voices. In many ways, they come from different backgrounds. Yet their openness and shared musical language connect them, forming the foundation for arranging their similarities and differences in harmony and creating something new from the collaborative work of contrasting elements. A truly contemporary production for the 21st century. The release of their debut album is planned for 2025.
