Katharina Scheucher is interested in the relationships between space, perception and time as well as the resulting possible illusions and realities. Visitors continuously change the situation through their presence and thus permanently re-create the space and its properties. Glass, gypsum, textiles, cardboard as well as various finds are assembled to newly arranged objects and provided in an innovative way for communication. In her work, the artist seeks the hidden, the secret and the uncanny in everyday life. The unseen but present moves into the light and says what it has to say. For a moment, realities grow, collapse and disappear into the illusion. Interventions in space sharpen the perception of one's presence in the midst of this presentation, so the artist puts the audience in an interactive tension. It creates new perspectives and makes surprising conversations possible.
