In the theatre the body is being prepared for what is to be done outside in the public space. That is the premise under which a group of people from different generations walks to Heldenplatz to examine the sound installation The Voices by Scottish Turner Prize winner Susan Philipsz. Its delicate, flowing sounds refer to the martial spectacle of Adolf Hitler’s speech delivered there in 1938. As a counterweight to the violence of historical events Chowaniec and Oberleithner bring a choreographic score to this charged place.
