Bring your own booze

In February, the popular breed regulars' table is looking forward to the visit of the art collective CLUB REAL. Her field trial JENSEITS DER NATUR, which tracks democratic processes in a greenhouse in the Floridsdorfer Donaufeld, spans our entire season and was opened in October with the first session of the Gardening Parliament. In the theatrical setting of the studio brut in the Zieglergasse, CLUB REAL finally brings the gardening democracy to the stage in April 2019 from the Donaufeld.

Everybody is invited to brut’s regular open kitchen-sink meetings, from artists and colleagues to the audience, brut newbies or neighbouring institutions from Nestroyplatz and all over the city. Alternating chefs from inside brut keep guests busy with joint cooking, providing a lot of time to get to know each other and exchange views about anything from recipes to dentist recommendations or ideas for the next performance.

The artist group Club Real has been implementing participatory and site-specific projects for 17 years. Installations, one-to-one encounters, political role-plays and participatory urban development projects invite people to help shape alternative concepts of reality. In Vienna, Club Real recently built a fictional museum of Islamic-Austrian relations.
