Anne Lise Le Gac & Arthur Chambry: DUCTUS MIDI

Anne Lise Le Gac’s hybrid artistic pieces are based on google knowledge, theory, trash and DIY aesthetics. With cartography as its starting point – but instead of following a path from A to B – her latest work DUCTUS MIDI, a collaboration with musician Arthur Chambry, will rely heavily on the medieval dictum “the journey is the destination”. Four people seeking to understand the world around them (Le Gac, Chambry as well as dancer and choreographer Katerina Andreou and bird voice imitator Christophe Manivet) will set out on a journey of anthropological exploration and discovery. This will involve some rather absurd rituals – turning liquids into solids, creating and making strange objects and instruments, imitating bird voices, rapping and dancing. All in all, DUCTUS MIDI is greater than the sum of its parts – a real discovery!
