WOLFGANG LEHRNER -City Without Name
City at the Limit - 6379, CDMX 2017 Inkjet print, framed
Since completing his studies at the University of Applied Arts under Brigitte Kowanz, Wolfgang Lehrner has deepened his cosmopolitan research on the transformation of metropolises, their significance, differences and similarities in the globalised World-City system. In this respect, his boundless curiosity can be understood as a re-adjustment of the usual parameters of perception, as a tracing of the foreign in itself and vice versa, and also as a reversal of coincidence and destiny.
After spending three months in Mexico City, Lehrner's observations of locally determined characteristics, interspaces and the resulting global interchangeability can be seen for the first time as large-format video and photo works at gallery Zeller van Almsick.
