This coming autumn viennacontemporary, spearheaded by artistic director Christina Steinbrecher-Pfandt and managing director Renger van den Heuvel, will once again gather the international art community in Vienna: From 21 to 24 September 2017 established and emerging galleries from all over the world will present new discoveries alongside established positions of selected contemporary art works with a focus on central and eastern Europe at Austria’s international art fair.
With this year’s special presentations such as – Solo & Sculpture (curated by Miguel Wandschneider), ZONE1 (curated by Marlies Wirth), Nordic Highlights and Focus: Hungary – and the accompanying events – film and video art in the framework of Cinema (curated by Olaf Stüber) as well as presentations and panel discussions (curated by Kate Sutton), offering a straightforward and enjoyable access point to contemporary art, viennacontemporary turns Vienna into a hot spot for contemporary art.
