Tiefe Kirschen

"Tiefe Kirschen" is a sculpture show by students of Heimo Zobernig. The works approach the question of sculpture through different media and contexts.

In front of me is a cherry, glowing in deep red, the most abysmal cherry I have ever seen. In my hands the purchases weigh heavily, I must go on. "Right, I'll make a joke," she says at that moment. After a pause again: "I'll make a joke right away." I do not know what to say. The cherry wants to put something in my head. I urgently need an alternative. There is a fork in the road. She leads left into my apartment and right into a deep gap. I leave the cherry my purchases and jump into it. A glowing stream tears me and sets me down, the others are already there. From the entrance of the slit the laughter of the cherry rings.
