The outdoor exhibition consists of a round labyrinth with five passages (diameter: 33 m), made of 400 native ornamental and useful plants: lilac, viburnum, hazelnut, prawn cape, privet and some apple trees.

The 310 m long path to the center invites you to change and gives the visitors the opportunity to walk the labyrinth in peace and to experience their vibrations and change of perspective physical-sensual. There, the ceramic sculpture "Nutshell" (executed by: Marie Janssen) and music (Flora St. Loup) are heard softly.

On the outside, posters show 40 different labyrinths of European cultural history - from historical mosaics to contemporary art.

The aim of the outdoor exhibition "Sharing Heritage: Labyrinths in Europe" is to address and invite all people - regardless of income, background and social background. Through the free admission and the presentation on the central Schwarzenbergplatz we create an inclusive and participative experience - both Viennese and tourists meet here.

The labyrinth is an important part of our common European heritage. It has its starting point in the Mediterranean and is found in Europe in a variety of forms: from the graffiti in Pompeii, Roman mosaics, Gothic labyrinths in France, the "Trojaburgen" in Scandinavia to the grass labyrinths in the UK.

The labyrinth is one of the cultural treasures of humanity. It is a more than 5,000 year old symbol of the human life.
