RUDI COTRONEO Lost Lands

As a result of a great interest in history and of concern for the way of the world in modern times, Rudi Cotroneo developed a longing for peace in this turmoil, dynamic world, whose dynamics can already be questioned in many ways.
Paintings and collages show islands of the tangible and surrounded by the sea, creating tranquility poles. A mighty central mountain range, taken from nature as a solid base surrounded by a clichéd pasture with village and a lake, filled with the spring of all life, our water.
The sceneries lead the viewer to the essential things of life, thereby expanding his understanding of nature and organic life. Rudi Cotroneo stretches through his own path from the beach in Calabria to the mountains of our Alps a picturesque arch of the most valuable things of our earth, which is to be cherished and nurtured in the hope of preserving them for a long time with the growing understanding of all human beings.
The title of the exhibition becomes so obvious and indicates the island, our earth, floating in space.
