the international radical theatre-ensemble theatercombinat invites to an opera!

POEMS of the DAILY MADNESS is an opera, no, a romantic singspiel with compositions by günther auer and text by claudia bosse about everyday life in times of raising social and political tensions. it negotiates the efficacy of art as a radical space for other possibilities of intervention.

POEMS of the DAILY MADNESS negotiates the efficacy of art as a radical space for other possibilities of intervention. computer processed sounds and melodies meet inflected speech, songs, arias and choir. 4 allegoric figures – POEMS, HATE CRIME, MADNESS and TERROR – meet in a set choreography. scenic elements and installations form a setting that is accessible for viewers. opera as a shared space and as an accessible installation. opera as a possibility to resist our political reality.

how can the real become poetic in order to be thought?
