Joint Artists Statement:
As individuals who document everything by sketching, we ended up exploring Vienna not only as it currently exists but into what it could have been and what it can still become. These transformative misinterpretations foreordained by our research interests allowed us to transcend Vienna’s physical appearance.

Artist Backgrounds:

After completing his studies at Rhode Island School of Design in Fine Arts, Architecture and Art History, Alex McCargar worked for artists and designers in Providence, RI, New York, and Zürich, Switzerland. He came to Vienna with a Fulbright Grant in 2015 as a guest of the Die Angewandte and the Austrian National Theatermuseum.

Tashrika Sharma graduated from Boston College (2015) studying Mathematics and Studio Art culminating in a math-art thesis. She was a Fulbright Grantee (2015 - 2016) at Die Angewandte refining her thesis results and is currently collaborating with the Institute of Science and Technology (IST) Austria Austria making 3D-printed models.
