The performance artist and utopian researcher Otmar Wagner shows in his essay performances "Wundwelt" - a mix of late night comedy and body art - aspects of the stranger and alienation under the conditions of late capitalism. Wagner, in his wild associations, transcends the stranger against the background of the current political, economic and social situation in Austria and Europe.
The approach is neither historical nor theorising, but rather self-centered and personal. The issues each focus on the beauty of the border, home and identity, terror and colonialism. Various means such as sound and video clips, hip slide series, extravagant drinking and ordinary body looks are used. In the age of infotainment, magical association strikes with self-harming danger arise, which in the end return all those a home, which they no longer want at all.
