Jorge Sánchez-Chiong

In the mumok matinees museum visitors are invited to experience a concert directly in the exhibition rooms. Contemporary and modern compositions allow for complex links with architecture, space and works of art. Music and the visual arts, sound and image are combined in a collage-like art experience.

The works for Solo Turntable by Jorge Sánchez-Chiong are analog and immediate improvisational electronics. The internationally renowned musician also sees them as monumental sculptural works, in which he allows sound particles to merge as set pieces of everyday life with instrumental sounds.
