John K Samson - known as the frontman of the indie rock legends The Weakerthans - announces a new solo album in October 2016, just a year after his band split. "Winter Wheat" will be the good piece, which after "Provincial" (2012) is already the second independent LP.
He was instrumental in the recording of the former bandmates Jason Taut on drums and Greg Smith on the bass. Thus, for the first time since the dissolution of the Weakthans, some band members are to be heard together again on a record.
The first pre-song "Postdoc Blues" can already be streamed - hopefully melancholic acoustic guitars Indie rock at it's best!
