In the show RENDEZVOUS, three different contemporary artists' postures will meet to circle around the topic of human beings and locate their approaches using different media. After the exhibition "Faces of Violence" by Virgilius Moldovan and "and breathing ..." by Maria Grün and Max Berner, Esther Strauss, Robert Fleischanderl and Franz Wassermann present the third perspective on the species Homo Sapiens. It is important to the three artists that they make neither documentary nor journalistic claims in their work but look at the wide arc of the human spectrum from birth to death. Esther Strauss, Robert Fleischanderl and Franz Wassermann face love, death and old age. What these three artists have in common is that the intimacy usually reserved for private space becomes the driving force behind their work. The exhibition Rendezvous reflects on the question of how much closeness and fragility can still be tolerated in a staged society. What may the artist show? What can visitors allow themselves to see? It is what it is and the interpretation is in the eye of the beholder. The trigger is individual, but we can assure you that no one will go untouched from this exhibition.
