DIY documenta

The DIY documenta unites historical research on Germany's most famous exhibition with "do it yourself" practices, which let Dada, the Situationists, Fluxus, Provo and Punk think. The clash of two radically different forms of articulation (large exhibition and DIY practice) serves as a possibility to think about the constitutive (and constructive!) Opposites of hegemonic criticism and cultural-political representation, provincialism and universalism, grandeur and dilettanteism come. The work of master students of the Merz Academy and the Angewandte Wien are gathered in a small-format hiking exhibition.
