Right in time for the winter solstice, when the northern hemisphere is furthest away from the sun LUZ brings glaring light and blaring noise.

LUZ, a welded together structure of metal objects, motors, double-bass strings, a singing saw, carved-out engine parts and a talking slot machine. When played, it tickles like a mechanical clockwork and rushes like a derailing freight train.

Stefan Voglsinger is a freelance artist and a musician,a performer who works as a media artist in the field of sound art and D.I.Y electronics, as well as multimedia performances. He studied at the Vienna Music Institute, at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Television in Cuba. As the founder of the Setzkasten Wien, he directs and curates exhibitions, concerts and workshops.

Musser & Schwamberger's beautiful and shy songs are about metaphysical tugs, carnivorous horses, the filth at the door and other things that smell bad, the melancholy in Meidling, a thousand white stones, eating, drinking and fucking, Kafka, Nestroy, Artmann, Quasi, Bachmann, Celan and Werner Schwab, the rain in Gablenzgasse, Caspar David Friedrich, the Sommermohn, scratched skin, Madonna pictures, suicide bombers, the Kipferlmond above the Musilplatz and the urinal of Cafe Weidinger.
