Chymical Wedding

The Chymical Wedding represents the union of male and female in one person. The attempt of the alchemists to find the answer in the core, to connect everything with everything and thus to achieve the solution is represented in the project by music and dance, The desire to arrive at unity and origin through the analysis of the illusion is an engine of faith; hence the sacred space.

In the performance "Chymische Hochzeit" (the theme was already well processed in Gottfried von Einem's opera "Jesu Hochzeit"), the audience breathes, sees, and feels in the body of the ensemble until the unpleasant church benches are forgotten. For on this evening, the church becomes a member of the ensemble, with its sacred atmosphere and spatial harmony.

The ensemble will use the meditative atmosphere and the wonderful room acoustics of the sacred space, the space itself is cautiously greeted as a fifth ensemble member and served purely acoustically.
